About Us

LearningE

Well the 12th April has arrived and here at Clanabogan stables we  sincerely hope to  be getting back to some sort of normal,  albeit with a few changes due to Covid-19.  Getting your children out , about and active  is even more important than ever so they can have some sense of  getting back to normality and it is a great way to help them make friends. Riding  is great for confidence building, can lead to social-life benefits and meeting new people that could develop into life-long friends, whilst at the same time learning new skills and having fun.  Anyone hoping to come for lessons etc at Clanabogan Stables, must firstly ring (07821894927) to check availability and book their spaces.
Riding is suitable for all ages, and especially for children with special needs, interaction with horses can have calming effects and great for self development.
Whilst we do have a few hats for clients to borrow, since Covid, we are encouraging everyone to purchase their own hats, to reduce risks.  If you are in the Omagh area these can be purchased from Omagh Equestrian where you will be given expert advice on all aspects including fitting, which is imperative.

CARING

In these unpredictable times with Covid-19 looking to be here for a while, it is important that people of all ages ( as we try to get back to some semblance of normality),  can enjoy the benefits of fresh air and exercise that riding brings,  both mentally and physically and at the same time allows for social distancing.

The overall care of horses, including feeding them and keeping them healthy, teaches children about caring for others. “Dealing with horses helps children develop respect and discipline. It teaches children how to respect and care for another animal,”

“Learning to look after and ride a pony gives young people a sense of responsibility and accountability that stands them in great stead as they grow up."

“I like that when my children come home from school they don’t sit in front of a screen, but go to the stables and ride or groom their ponies. I think this is much healthier for them both physically and mentally.”

FUN

The value of perseverance and dogged determination, hard work, the rewards of empathy, how to deal with disappointment and losing, while also experiencing the sweet taste of success are all aspects that come into play.” and everyone learns much better when i's FUN  and at Clanabogan Stables we believe that most of all it must be FUN
